Oh my GOODNESS! It’s been an age since I have popped by. If I’m honest, I have been enjoying freedom from uni a lot, working some festivals and catching up on LIFE and FUN! As well as making coffee and pushing cake. I have done a lot of that.

Even so, the mind has been ticking over and plans are being made. The newest and funnest venture is that of mine and Ava Faulkner’s* called ‘BIG KID LITTLE KID CARDBOARD BOX’. It’s a kids entertainment and workshop collective. We do make up, retro kids games and make stuff out of rubbish. At Cloud Cuckoo Festival we had our first outing! The wonderful Laura Peter’s ( http://laurapeters.tumblr.com/ ), Miss Aimee Bennett, Jamell Ackford, Nige L Power came along for the ride and helped us significantly in getting everything together and entertaining the kids and some pretty enthusiastic adults too.

The TOTEM POLE! We wanted the children to create something that commemorated their time at Cloud Cuckoo. The whole point of the festival was to be as eco and waste free as possible. So we used recycled materials (from Bristol Scrapstore) to make the totem pole. Even the cyan powder paint was a donation. We encouraged the kids to be as free as possible with their creation and let them know there were no rules as to what they could paste over the totem pole. MEGA FUN! Working with children is something I really enjoy. They really see things in a way we just can’t.

AVA-JAYNE! She’s having the best time ever. This is a collection of 1970’s party games for children that we looked at for inspiration. Wholesome fun!

Who needs a wii, when you can have a tennis ball on a stick? 

SO! this is the beginning of a growing venture. Minimal waste and cost = Maximum fun and frolics!
